These Terms govern your use of the Startcore website and purchase of products from Startcore Ventures Limited (“Startcore”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using this website, requesting a quotation or purchasing from Startcore, you agree to these Terms.

1. Orders & Quotations

Website carts and enquiries are requests for quotation and do not constitute acceptance of an order.
An order is confirmed when Startcore accepts it and the required payment is received or approved credit terms apply.
Quotations are subject to stated validity periods, stock availability and applicable taxes.
Startcore may correct genuine pricing, specification or availability errors before accepting an order.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing, contact and delivery information.

2. Products & Specifications

We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, images, specifications and prices are accurate. Manufacturers may change packaging, specifications, accessories or product information without notice. Images may therefore differ from the product packaging supplied. Manufacturer trademarks and product names remain the property of their respective owners.

3. Product Suitability & Technical Advice

Product information supplied by Startcore is for general information and does not constitute professional engineering, structural, architectural, electrical, chemical or safety advice unless expressly agreed in writing. The customer is responsible for confirming product suitability for the intended application, substrate, environment and method of use. Customers must follow applicable manufacturer instructions, labels, TDS, SDS, warnings and safety requirements. For structural, hazardous or safety-critical applications, customers should obtain advice from a suitably qualified professional.

4. Chemicals, Tools & PPE

Chemical products must be stored, handled and applied according to manufacturer requirements. Power tools and equipment must be operated only for their intended purpose and in accordance with manufacturer instructions. Customers are responsible for appropriate operator training, PPE, installation, maintenance and safe use. Startcore is not responsible for damage arising from misuse, improper storage, installation, application, modification or use contrary to manufacturer instructions, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

5. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. Customers must provide accurate delivery information and ensure an authorised person is available to receive goods. Customers should inspect goods on delivery and promptly report visible damage, shortages or incorrect products. Where a customer independently appoints a carrier, Startcore’s responsibility may end when the goods are handed to that carrier, subject to applicable law.

6. Payment & Ownership

Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be received and cleared before dispatch. Where goods are supplied on approved credit, Startcore may retain ownership of unpaid goods to the extent permitted by law until applicable amounts are settled. Separate B2B, credit or supply agreements may apply to trade customers.

7. Returns, Replacements & Warranty

Our Return & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.

Standard eligible return requests must be made within 7 calendar days of delivery or collection.
Defective products may qualify for replacement within 14 calendar days of delivery or collection, subject to inspection.
Where a return is approved, Startcore’s preferred remedy is exchange for another product or store credit.
Monetary refunds will only be provided where required by applicable law or expressly approved by Startcore.
Defective products may be assessed by Startcore, the manufacturer or an authorised service provider.

Nothing in this section removes mandatory rights or remedies under Kenyan law.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Startcore is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, business interruption, opportunity or project delays arising from matters outside our reasonable control. Startcore is not responsible for loss caused by customer misuse, incorrect installation, improper application, unauthorised modification, improper storage, failure to follow manufacturer instructions or use outside product specifications. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Website & Intellectual Property

Startcore owns or is authorised to use its original website content, branding, photographs, graphics and materials. You may not copy, reproduce, modify or commercially exploit our content without written permission. You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access or introduce malicious software.

10. Force Majeure

Startcore is not liable for delays caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control, including supplier disruption, transport disruption, government action, fire, natural disaster, industrial action, import restrictions, network failure, war or civil unrest.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Customers should first contact Startcore to resolve complaints. Where appropriate, the parties may attempt negotiation or mediation before formal proceedings. Kenyan courts shall have jurisdiction subject to applicable law.

12. Changes & Contact

Startcore may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version published on this website will apply to future transactions.
